7月28日16時27分頃、熊本県熊本地方を震源とするマグニチュード7.1の地震が発生し、熊本県内の広い範囲で大きな揺れを観測いたしました。被害に遭われた皆様、また今なお不安な時間を過ごされている皆様に、心よりお見舞い申し上げます。一日も早い復旧と、皆様に安心できる日々が戻りますことを、スタッフ一同心よりお祈り申し上げます。

→九州自動車道の一部通行止めに伴い、大回りになりますが、東九州自動車道を経由するルートをご検討ください。

At about 4:27 PM on July 28, an earthquake with a magnitude of 7.1 occurred in the Kumamoto region of Kumamoto Prefecture, causing strong shaking across a wide area of the prefecture. We would like to express our heartfelt sympathy to everyone affected, and to those who are still spending anxious hours in the aftermath. All of our staff hope for a swift recovery and for everyone's safety and peace of mind to return as soon as possible.

We have also received many warm messages of concern from people across Japan and around the world, and we would like to offer our sincere thanks for your kindness.

Kurokawa Onsen recorded a seismic intensity of 4 yesterday, but there has been no major damage to the hot spring town itself, and our ryokan and shops are operating as usual (a small number of facilities remain temporarily closed).

Estimated route: Yamanami Highway or National Route 442 - Kurokawa Onsen

At this time, no widespread traffic restrictions have been reported for routes approaching from the Oita Prefecture side.

● From Kagoshima to Kurokawa Onsen
Estimated route (detour via the Higashi-Kyushu Expressway): Higashi-Kyushu Expressway - Oita - Hita IC - National Route 212 - Kurokawa Onsen
Due to partial closures on the Kyushu Expressway, this route will take longer, but it is the recommended detour at this time.
